We recently connected with Stacey Lyon and have shared our conversation below.

Stacey, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.

Much like interacting with a used car salesperson, working with a contractor can bring out negative feelings in people. The fear of the unknown, the what-if scenarios, poor communication and of course the dreaded invoice that is always much higher than expected.

At Beach Nest Interiors, we decided to approach the contracting process completely different than our competitors. We want you to set the budget and to be in complete control of your dollars. Whatever you decide is what goes. How is this possible, you may ask. We work backwards from the goal. We start off by making a list of everything that you hope to accomplish on your project and then prioritize the list considering what is a need versus a want. A wouldn’t this be cool to have list and a I could wait on these if I had to list.

From there, we go to work researching materials and gathering estimates from laborers. We use our trade discounts and buying power to negotiate discounted rates and then create a plan to squeeze in as many needs and wants as possible based on your budget. Then we can discuss the items that didn’t make the list and decide if you want to increase the budget or we can create a phase 2 plan for a time down the road when it’s financially comfortable for you to tackle those to do’s.

Most importantly, we treat every client’s home as if it were our own. If I would not want it or do it in my family home then I will not do it in yours. Your home is not just another construction site to us, it is a place where memories will be made and legacies will be built. We aren’t done until you are happy!
